Katrina joined Tenant Law Group in June 2019 as trial counsel. Her primary goal is to educate clients about their rights and help them navigate the confusing tangle of litigation. She dedicates one hundred percent of her practice to representing tenants; helping them recover money damages following egregious landlord behavior, providing eviction defense services, and negotiating settlements or taking matters to arbitration, mediation, and trial. Katrina prides herself on her cool head and calm demeanor while under fire, and is always working to get the best results for her clients.

Prior to joining Tenant Law Group, she managed her own litigation practice, which included the defense of tenants in unlawful detainer (eviction) proceedings and the pursuit of affirmative cases against landlords. While working with the firm of Steven Adair MacDonald & Partners, P.C., she litigated cases on behalf of tenants arising out of illegal evictions from rent-controlled apartments, harassment, defective conditions and repair issues, pest infestations, floods, and fires. Katrina also practiced plaintiff’s side personal injury litigation at The Dolan Law Firm, handling a significant load of complex personal injury cases from intake through settlement or trial.

Katrina earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (majoring in Finance) from the University of San Francisco in 1992 and her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of Law in 1996. She has been practicing law in the civil litigation realm since December, 1996.

Although Katrina was born in California’s Central Valley, her parents moved to San Francisco when she was less than one year old. She has lived in the City ever since and considers herself a native San Franciscan. Growing up in San Francisco has given her a unique perspective on social justice, renters’ rights, and community empowerment, which she brings to her passionate representation of our clients.

When she is not working, Katrina enjoys traveling, restoring and driving old cars and motorcycles, and attending live music concerts. She speaks limited Spanish.
