These are trying times. As a social justice law firm committed to representing the underserved in our community, we at Tenant Law Group support those demonstrating and speaking out against racism, bigotry, and intolerance. Unfortunately, we have observed discrimination and harassment far too often in the landlord-tenant context. We will continue to fight for justice and equality, and we stand with all protesters demonstrating peacefully for a more just society.
On a lighter note, we have a few announcements this month. First, as many may already know, last Thursday, May 28, the Office of the Mayor announced a multiphase plan to reopen many San Francisco businesses by Monday, June 15. We are thrilled to see the city responsibly spring back to life. Tenant Law Group will continue to offer virtual services, including complimentary virtual case evaluations and virtual attorney consultations for tenants throughout California in need of legal advice. Because finances remain tight for many, Tenant Law Group will offer a new coupon code for attorney consultation services through June 30, 2020. Use coupon code JUNE2020 at checkout to receive a 25% discount off all Tenant Law Group attorney consultations (up to $93.75 in value).
Second, we have two exciting personnel announcements. Today, Nicholas Goldman, Esq. joins the Tenant Law Group team as an Attorney. A former military veteran who graduated first in his law school class, Nick brings years of experience in both the real estate industry and in the practice of landlord-tenant law to Tenant Law Group. Welcome, Nick!
We also wish to congratulate Violeta E. Gonzalez Fuentes on her recent promotion to Client Intake Assistant. She will be joining our Intake & Onboarding Team to help accommodate the increased demand for tenant rights services.
Finally, on Wednesday, May 20, I joined two other law firm owners as panelists for a webinar called “Running a Law Practice During the Pandemic.” Hosted by Advocate Capital, this webinar, available here, focused on how law firms are continuing to operate during the coronavirus pandemic.
Thank you for your continued support of Tenant Law Group. If you or someone you know has been displaced from a rent-controlled apartment without legal justification, harassed by a landlord, or has otherwise been harmed by a landlord’s unlawful actions, please call us at (415) 707-3859.
