Bio

Anthony (Tony) joined Tenant Law Group in August 2021 as Trial Counsel. An experienced courtroom advocate who has tried a dozen cases to verdict, he is responsible for first chairing all the firm’s jury trials. Tony dedicates one hundred percent of his practice to helping tenants recover money damages following egregious landlord behavior.

Tony has extensive experience in both criminal and civil procedure. Prior to joining Tenant Law Group, he worked at the Santa Cruz County District Attorney’s Office, where he spent nearly two years as Assistant District Attorney. He worked most recently as a civil litigator at Noland, Hamerly, Etienne & Hoss, a civil litigation firm with offices in Salinas and Monterey, California. There, he handled a variety of civil matters in addition to assisting with trials.

Tony earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a Minor in Italian Studies from the University of Notre Dame, where he was a member of the Latino Honors Society. He earned his Juris Doctor with a Public Service Certificate from the University of California, Davis School of Law (King Hall), where he was a member of the Order of Barristers. He was also Problem Writing Chair for the King Hall Moot Court Board and Chair of External Competitions for the Trial Practice Honors Board.

Tony grew up in Sacramento and spent most of his life in Central California. When he is not working, Tony enjoys baking, reading, poetry, and fishing.

In addition to English, Tony speaks Spanish and Italian.
